About Quincy Metcalf

Quincy Metcalf is a family law attorney at Dads.Law who represents fathers in high-conflict custody disputes, protective order litigation, divorce, paternity, and child support matters. She serves fathers in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and across the state. She has built her practice around one of the hardest situations a father faces. That is an exaggerated or false allegation of abuse, raised in a custody case or a protective order petition. It threatens to cut him off from his children before he has been heard.

Quincy earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Oklahoma State University in 2017. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2021, where she served on the Energy Law Journal. She is licensed to practice in Oklahoma (Oklahoma Bar Association #35284). She is a member of the OBA Family Law Section.

What Quincy handles

Quincy’s cases are, by design, the contested ones. She represents fathers in temporary-order hearings, where the schedule set in the first weeks of a case becomes the status quo the court is reluctant to disturb. She represents them in custody trials, where months of evidence have to be organized and presented in a few hours. She also represents them in protective order hearings. There a father has roughly fourteen days from service to gather the record that will decide whether he keeps his home, his firearms, and his time with his children. She has extensive experience defending men against exaggerated allegations of abuse in both custody and protective order litigation. That work includes cross-examining petitioners on the timing and substance of their claims. It also means presenting the documentary record that judges rely on when the two accounts conflict.

She also handles the full range of fathers’ rights matters. That includes establishing paternity for unmarried fathers, enforcing and modifying parenting schedules, child support computation and modification. It also includes divorce for men, including property division.

How she works

Quincy pursues an amicable resolution whenever one is available. A settled case is faster, less expensive, and easier on children than a tried one. But she is a litigator, and fathers hire her for the cases that will not settle fairly. She is fully prepared to take a case to trial when the other side’s offer would leave a father with less than the law and the evidence support. She believes that children thrive when they have a meaningful relationship with both parents, especially their father. Attempts to interfere with a father’s parental rights occur often enough that they require decisive legal action rather than patience. That interference can mean withholding the child, alienating the child, or using the court process itself as leverage.
